Throwing a great party is no mystery
when you've got the clues!

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1Ę 1/2 cup powdered sugar

microwave safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH 1-1/2 minutes or until
smooth when stirred. Stir in vanilla. Pour chocolate mixture over
cereal, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated.
Pour mixture into large plastic bag with powdered sugar, shake
until pieces are coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool.
Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
Makes about 9 cups.
Paw Print Cake
Make a round cake for the main portion and cupcakes
for the paw pads. Frost with blue frosting.
Fun and Games
Pin the Flag on the Mailbox
Cut out a
mailbox from construction paper. Cut out enough flags for each child.
Blindfold each child and see who can come the closest to putting the flag on
the mailbox.
The children will be amazed as they watch the mixture turn from
dry to wet and slowly turn blue
Mystery Balloons
Supplies- plenty of blue balloons, cut out paw prints from Blue
construction paper, assorted party favors
Hide an assortment of party favors within a designated area.
Write clues on printed paw about where a
certain party favor is located. Depending on the age group, you
could either write words or draw simple pictures.
Roll the paw prints up and gently slip them inside an unflated
balloon.
Blow the balloons up with air and hang them on the walls for a
decoration.
When you are about to start the game, have a child choose a
balloon off the wall and pop it by sitting or stomping on it. (some
children my need help)
Tell the children to use the clue on the paw print to find the
missing party favor.
Supplies- tablet of drawing paper, blue food
coloring, bubbles
This activity needs to be done out doors.
Add the blue food coloring to the bubble mixture.
Have a sheet of white drawing paper for each child. Have one or
more adults blow bubbles and instruct each child to try to catch
them on their sheet of paper. As the bubbles pop they make a design
on the paper. See who can come close to making a paw print or how
many paw prints they can make.
Hint: You can make your own bubble liquid by mixing 1/2 Cup Dawn
dishwashing liquid, 5 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of glycerin
(available at drug stores). Stir (donŐt shake) the ingredients until
thoroughly mixed
Blue Magic
This is an activity that everyone will enjoy. Let each child make
their own "magic". This activity would be best outside or in the
kitchen.
Supplies- Blue food coloring, cornstarch, sealable sandwich bags
Directions:
Pour 1 cup cornstarch into the sandwich bag.
Add blue food coloring to 1/4 cup of water.
Slowly add 1/4 cup of water mixed to the cornstarch.
Carefully press the excess air out of the sandwich bag and seal
it shut.
Instruct each child to gently knead the sandwich bag until the
mixture is well blended and smooth, but not to puncture the bag.
