Scooby's Personal Pizza

Where ever Scooby and Shaggy are there is sure to be pizza somewhere nearby.

  • 1 cup pizza sauce
     
  • 8 bagels, split, or 8 English muffin halves, toasted
     
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella or Cheddar cheese (8 ounces)
  • Assorted Toppings

Heat oven to 425 degrees.
Spread 1 tablespoon pizza sauce over each bagel half. Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon of the cheese.
Arrange toppings on sandwiches. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 5 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Makes 8 servings.

 

 

 

 

Shaggy's Monster Cookie

Topping a giant cookie with whipped cream, walnuts, coconut and candy makes a fun dessert pizza!
 

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
     
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
     
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
     
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
     
  • 1 egg
     
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
     
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
     
  • 1/2 package (12-ounce size) miniature semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
     
  • 1 cup sweetened whipped cream
     
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
     
  • 1/4 cup flaked or shredded coconut, toasted
     
  • 1/2 cup candy-coated chocolate candies.

    Heat oven to 350 degrees.
    Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour and baking soda (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips.
    Spread or pat dough in ungreased 12-inch pizza pan or on cookie sheet. Bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown; cool in pan.
    Just before serving, spread cookie with whipped cream. Top with walnuts, coconut and candies. Cut into wedges. Immediately refrigerate any remaining cookie after serving.
    Makes 16 servings.

Chicken Fingers

Every kids favorite!

  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
     
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
     
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
     
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
     
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
     
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut crosswise into 1 1/2-inch strips

Heat oven to 425ºF. Melt butter in rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches, in oven.
Mix flour, paprika, salt and pepper. Coat chicken with flour mixture. Toss with melted butter in pan.
Bake uncovered 15 minutes. Turn chicken strips; bake 10 to 15 minutes longer or until no longer pink in center.
Makes 6 servings.

 

 

 

 

 

 
FUN AND GAMES

Balloon Ghosts

  • 11" black latex balloons
     
  • White plastic tablecovers (1 rectangular tablecover will make 4 ghosts)
     
  • White Curling Ribbon

Inflate a balloon. Cut the tablecover into 4 equal pieces. Drape the tablecover over the balloon, leaving the tied end of the balloon on top. Cut a small slit in the top of tablecover and push the tied end through. Mark and carefully cut out eye holes. Attach to the ceiling with curling ribbon. Your ghosts will come to life as the wind moves them as people walk by.

 

Scooby Snack Drop

 
Have child stand over a jar with a somewhat small opening (depending on child's age). Let them have 10 clothespins or better yet dog biscuits shaped like bones, and see how many they can put in the jar by dropping them as they stand straight up.
